Dr. Carlson is commited to improving the health and welfare of his patients, while emphasizing the importance of positive lifestyle choices and the prudent administration of clinical guidelines in medication management.

Dr. Carlson founded Sioux City Hospitalists at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center and has served as its medical director. He currently serves as medical director of the Siouxland Adult Medicine clinic and the Siouxland Executive Wellness Center. Dr. Carlson’s practice works hard to accommodate patients quickly and efficiently.

Mark Carlson, MD, CCD

Dr. Mark Carlson, MD is a board certified physician, specializing in Internal Medicine and lipidology. Dr. Carlson has been practicing Internal Medicine in Sioux City, Iowa since 1989. He completed his medical training at the University of Minnesota and Abbott Northwestern and Minneapolis Heart Institute. Dr. Carlson is a long-time member of the National Lipid association.

Throughout his medical career, Dr. Carlson has served in various hospital and clinic based leadership roles. He regularly lectures nationwide on the topics of internal medicine, and has particular expertise and interests in cardiovascular risk prevention, advanced lipid management, anti-aging medicine, osteoporosis, diabetes and hypertension.

Dr. Carlson is committed to improving the health and welfare of his patients, while emphasizing the importance of positive lifestyle choices and the prudent administration of clinical guidelines in medical management and preventive medicine.

Dr. Carlson founded the Sioux City Hospitalists Program at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center and has served as its medical director. He has served as the Chairman of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics and Critical Care Departments. He currently serves as Medical Director of the Siouxland Adult Medicine Clinic and the Siouxland Executive Wellness Center and Lipid Clinic.

David Daniels, MD

Daniels completed his internal medicine training at Northwestern University Hospital. He is a board certified Internist and Geriatrician. He specializes in adult health care. The types of illnesses he treats include heart disease, diabetes, obesity, infections and many others. He has extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient internal medicine.

Originally from the shores of Lake Erie, N.Y., Daniels is an honors graduate from the University of Notre Dame and received his medical degree from Georgetown University Medical School. After completing his internal medicine residency, he opened a private practice in downtown Chicago. He and his family relocated to Sioux City in 1993. Here he practiced with Internal Medicine Associates until 2003. Then he started the hospitalist program at Mercy Hospital and became Mercy's first hospitalist medical director. He resumed office practice in 2008 and rejoined Siouxland Adult Medicine in October of 2017.

Dawn Bricker, ARNP

Dawn Bricker, ARNP joined Siouxland Adult Medicine in 2016 at the practice's location at 1605 Douglas St. and is accepting new patients. Dawn has been in the healthcare profession for 17 years. She received her BSN form the University of Phoenix and her MSN-FNP from Clarkson College in Omaha, NE. Then she went on to complete her Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) through Iowa Central Community College.

Dawn’s scope of practice encompasses primary care, health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex healthcare issues. She is certified as a BHRT (bio-identical hormone replacement) provider.

A native of North Dakota, Dawn resides in Sioux City with her husband and 2 children. Her message- “ I believe in building a long lasting and trusting relationship with my patients. I provide a comprehensive evaluation of every patient by taking time to listen and understand your particular needs. I have a true desire to promote a positive healing experience with a patient centered approach to healthcare.“

Deb Carlson

Deb Carlson

Deb Carlson has served as Siouxland Adult Medicine Clinic's Office Manager and Bone Density Technologist at SAM Clinic since joining us in 2010. Deb graduated from Briar Cliff University with a BA in Social Work in 1989. Deb's previous career was serving Siouxland as a Social Work Supervisor with the Iowa Department of Human Services. Deb has been instrumental in establishing SAM clinic's Concierge and Executive Wellness programs and completely renovating our office building at 1605 Douglas Street to help us provide top level Health and Wellness medical services to the Siouxland Community. Deb has taken a lead role in establishing our anti-aging and cosmetic services through our Rose Hill MedSpa on the lower level of our office building at 1609 Douglas Street. Deb is also in charge of SAM Clinic's Community Support and Charity Programs to help the disadvantaged of our Siouxland community. Deb also serves on the Board of Directors at Transitional Services of Iowa.
